Evergy was appointed to carry out Technical Due Diligence in support of the acquisition process of two operational hydroelectric power plants in Scotland. Both plants have been in operation since 2015.
The Derrydarroch and Upper Falloch facilities are run-of-river systems located within the same hydrological catchment area, with gross heads ranging from 120 m to 213 m. The installed capacities are 0.9 MW and 2.0 MW respectively. Both plants are connected to the local medium-voltage distribution grid.

- Energy yield assessment using operational data
- Technical design review
- Site inspection and assessment of the current technical condition
- Development of a refurbishment strategy with associated cost estimation
- Review of existing Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contracts
