PV Plant
Talayuela

Evergy delivered a bankable Technical Due Diligence report prior to the construction of the Talayuela PV Plant and continued to support the client with lender’s technical advisory services during the construction phase. Since commissioning, Evergy has provided ongoing technical controlling services.

Talayuela is part of a Spanish PV portfolio of approximately 500 MWp, located in the Cáceres region (Extremadura). At the time of the mandate, the project was still under development. Part of the project was a newly erected large scale grid connection infrastructure at 400 kV voltage level to the grid of Red Eléctrica de Espana. Talayuela's connection infrastructure is shared with seven other PV plants with a total capacity of approx. 618 MWp.

The services of Evergy comprised in particular:

  • Lender's Technical Due Diligence
  • Support in negotiation of supply agreements (EPC PV, EPC grid)
  • Calculation of hourly production profile to determine PPA pre-defined hedge quantities
  • Construction supervision with regular site visits and detailed delay risk analysis
  • Technical inspections at acceptance (PAC and FAC)

I joined Evergy straight after my studies. I received very good support and encouragement. I have the feeling that I am doing something meaningful here. I still remember an inspection trip to Portugal: in the middle of the project area was a creek that we could only cross by off-road vehicle and a small, deserted village which was preserved. That was quite unusual.
