Evergy was appointed to perform Technical Due Diligence prior to the construction of the Floating PV Plant Oudehaske II and subsequently served as the lender's engineer during the construction and acceptance phases.
The project is located between the cities of Heerenveen and Joure in the province of Friesland and is constructed over a sand excavation lake, with excavation still ongoing in some parts. The total project area spans approximately 13 hectares. Oudehaske II is designed with dual-orientation fixed frames supporting P-type mono-crystalline dual-glass PV modules, connected via string inverters to a 21 kV medium-voltage grid. The solar arrays are installed at a 12° tilt angle and oriented east (-107°) and west (73°).
The services of Evergy comprised in particular:
- Energy yield verification considering the technical challenges in relation to the interaction of the PV Plant and the water body (i.e. soiling, cooling)
- Development of a cost-efficient module cleaning procedure
- Technical design review
- Review of the project specific procurement and operational contracts
- Technical inspections at acceptance (PAC and FAC)
