Evergy was appointed to conduct a comprehensive Technical Due Diligence for the acquisition of an operational hydroelectric power plant located in Tuscany, Italy. The plant has been in operation since 2008.
The Lucchio power plant is a run-of-river facility with a gross head of 68 meters. It is equipped with two Francis turbines, each with a nominal capacity of 3,600 kW, and is connected to the medium-voltage grid of the local distribution network operator.

- Verification of catchment area characteristics and flow rate assessments
- Energy yield estimation based on historical operational data
- Review of existing technical design and system layout
- Site inspection and evaluation of the plant’s current technical condition
- Development of a refurbishment plan with associated cost estimates
- Review of existing Operation & Maintenance (O&M) contracts
