Wind Farms
Tórtoles I & II

Evergy was mandated to perform Technical Due Diligence for the wind energy projects Tórtoles I and Tórtoles II, which formed part of a broader renewable energy portfolio that also included two PV plants with a combined capacity of 115 MWp.

Both wind farms are situated in close proximity within the Castilla y León region and together consist of 35 turbines. At the time of engagement, the projects were still in the development phase—final layouts were under consideration and key permits were yet to be received. The infrastructure design involved a complex, shared grid system integrating multiple wind and PV plants, with several switching and transformer stations connected to the 400 kV grid operated by Red Eléctrica de España.

The services of Evergy comprised in particular:

  • Bankable energy yield assessment for alternative wind farm layouts using onsite wind measurements
  • Evaluation of the Project's development status and of the probability of reaching Ready to Build status
  • Assessment of permitting status of the shared grid infrastructure
  • Review of the technical design documentation
  • Provision of CAPEX and OPEX estimates for integration into the financial model

Ein Projekt an dem ich gerne mitgewirkt habe, ist der Solarpark Gamma in Rumänien. Es war für das Land eines der ersten großen Solarkraftwerke, welches an das Hochspannungsnetz angeschlossen wurde.
One project I really enjoyed working on was the Gamma solar park in Romania. It was one of the first really big solar parks to be connected to the high voltage power grid in the country.
