Evergy was mandated to provide Technical Due Diligence and Owner’s Engineering services for the Banie Wind Farm, a large-scale development implemented over six partially overlapping construction phases between 2015 and 2024.
The Banie project includes 96 turbines grouped into eight sub-projects, located south of Stettin, near the Germany border. At the time of engagement, the sub-projects were in development. The wind farm is connected to the Polish transmission grid via a 400 kV transformer station, through a project-owned internal grid infrastructure that includes three additional transformer stations.
The services of Evergy comprised in particular:
- Multiple bankable energy yield assessments for different phases
- Support in negotiating turbine supply agreements
- Layout optimization
- Grid curtailment impact analysis and optimization
- Detailed electrical loss and load flow simulations using DIgSILENT PowerFactory
- Evaluation of hybridization potential for selected project segments
